I'm fine thank you and yuu ?

I went to Queens Museum: Part2 “Nerdishness”.

What a surprised, Queens Museum exhibited the mud balls as known as Dorodango. This is so my memory. I also owned my company “mud dumplings manufacturing” when I was a child. And it reminds me Hikakin who is a famous YouTuber to children in Japan. He is good at making dorodango very well. I know they never influenced by Hikakin. There is only NERDs EMPATHY beyond time and space. What a 2nd question for today: what nerdishness is.

At this day, I also could see the works by Stephanie Dinkins and Wet Networks. Both of them were installed along with Queens Museum’s long term exhibits. Dinkins work was installed in the room of the panorama of the city of New York. It surrounded the panorama with voices and so huge projected image. The room lighting was changing with time. That and other Dinkins exhibits were well rounded. I have never known her long years activities and a lot of works by then so I felt glad to know them.

Wet Networks works were installed smaller room than the panorama. That room has “The Relief Map of the New York City Water Supply System”. Honestly, this relief was not beautiful as much as the panorama to me. Lighting was not dramatic either. Strangely, it more fascinated me than rich exhibits of Dinkins.

I think it was caused by the quality of being nerdy. I know, Dinkins is also great nerd, the earlier new-media artist. But at the exhibition this time, the works what Wet Network presented had more brave bold nerdishness. They had the works by Jan Mun and Tecumshe Ceaser, polishing the mud balls, drawing on the mushroom, and so on. Compared to them, the Dinkins exhibit smelled somewhat like a sanitizer, so I felt. To gain the understanding of many, should she be a more modest nerd? No!

It said, Wet Networks worked on “Geek Camp” at CycleX. I had never heard of the place, CycleX before. There seems an experimental farm!? located at Andes, New York States. Oh I see that’s why they installed their works in this room, belong with the map of water supply system. You know the artist Shu Lea Cheang is full throttle nerd. What a great “Geek Camp” was convened by her. I felt so happy to know the artists who joined “Geek Camp” and the place, CycleX.
