I'm fine thank you and yuu ?

1Shanthiroad is so my memorie.

I happened to see the name 1Shanthiroad! On the article about the event by the interesting group , Red Flower Collective.

When they were working around the archive, Asia Art Archive in America, they chose the book, “1Shanthiroad Cookbook” as one of the books which they focused on. I’ll leave a link to the article here.

If I sum it up in a word, I can guess that Red Flower Collective is just the friends who having food with friends. Off course, not only like that. You know they also reading books… Anyway, they have been hosting many events like to borrow the kitchen of someone’s house, cook, and eat with the people gathered. The time when they started was during the pandemic. I was in Tokyo. I heard it was tougher in New York. I remember… The kinds of companies were running advertisements toooooo much, which said they will deliver food to each home. It was as if it was cool…

I felt an affinity with Tsohil Bhatia, the one of the artist who started that collective. Tsohil says about itself an artist, writer and homemaker. This was the first time I learned the word “homemaker” it sounds beautiful. Now, this is one of the most lovable word in English for my own.

Why don’t museums and galleries have the kitchen in center of exhibits. I am also writing itself in kitchen. People might thinking about everything in the kitchen well, also about art, I believe.

I also read on Tsohil’s website, Tsohil had been staying in 1Shanthiroad!

In the summer of 2018, I also visited 1Shanthiroad unofficially. I just visited my friend, Shun as a friend. But the 1Shanthiroad mans still warmly invited me to have breakfast together everyday. While I stay in Bengaluru, I spent almost time at 1Shanthiroad. I should’ve to kept a diary while I was staying there. I remembered and drew Mona in 1Shanthiroad. I often saw her sharing yogurt rice with birds for lunch on the balcony.
