We visited NYU along with Yeseul.
So happy to meet up Yeseul again. She is teaching physical computing at NYU. Today, she gave us a tour of the NYU student’s exhibition.
I saw a performance “Bind” by Spencer Ratanavanh, that connected a tree trunk and his body with a sound system. I was so struck by his work. It was very simple, very powerful. That’s what one of the physical computing is. There were also so many kind of experimental works like a VRs, games, lights, sounds, films and so on.
Yeseul told us she is preparing an installation and a workshop for SOUND SCENE 2022 at the Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum. Thank you for your precious time, Yeseul. I will visit at June 5th to Washington D.C. to experience her work in physical. I really look forward it.
