Emiko-san visited us and had lunch together.
She brought us Mofongo. It was a kind of Caribbean cuisine. It was mostly made from fried plantains. Tasted good. I thought, the chicharon determines the taste of the mofongo which she brought today. I googled about them and found stories. The one told that the prototype of the mofongo is in West Africa. It was transported to the Caribbean by African slaves who brought by the Spanish. I feel, Afro Atlantic is true. I helped Emiko-san’s new project a little. It is an online film screening event. I’m looking for the release.
I also talked about the community garden with Emiko-san. She knows about Latin American culture as well. She told us that she interested in one of the gardens, Le Petit Versailles.
I sent an email Aki Onda. My friend Megu Ninja told me that he exhibits work at MoMA PS1 now. So I went to see it and got so surprised. He had been researching about the gardens for long time.
